Book Review - Before the coffee gets cold

 I recently finished reading Before the Coffee Gets Cold, and I can honestly say it left a deep impression on me. I really enjoyed the book, not just for its unique concept, but for how beautifully it explores love, loss, regret, and hope.

Set in a small Tokyo café where customers can travel back in time, the story intertwines the lives of people dealing with their own emotional struggles. Each character’s story tugged at my heartstrings in different ways, but what moved me most was the gentle reminder that while we cannot change the past, we can still find peace in understanding it.

I found myself teary-eyed more than once. The emotions felt so real, and the simplicity of the writing made it even more powerful. This book doesn’t rely on drama or twists—instead, it quietly invites you to reflect on your own relationships and the moments you may have taken for granted.

A beautiful, bittersweet read that stays with you long after you’ve closed the last page. Highly recommended for anyone who believes in the quiet magic of human connection.

What an emotional ride. I really enjoyed it from start to finish. The story was simple yet powerful, and the idea of a café that lets you travel back in time (with a few rules!) was so unique and heartwarming.

Each chapter made me reflect on love, loss, and the things we sometimes leave unsaid. I found myself teary-eyed more than once.  It’s one of those quiet, moving reads that stays with you long after the last page.

Highly recommended if you want a book that touches your heart in the most unexpected ways.

Justice for Killua

 

Last 2 weeks ago, naging laman ng Social Media ang #JusticeForKillua, Golden Retriever si Killua brutally beaten by Anthony Solares. Nakatakas kasi si Killua and sabi ni Anthony, kinagat sya and ang anak nya kaya pinagpapalo nya si Killua. Base naman sa CCTV sya mismo ang humahabol sa tumatakbong si Killua. 

Ang daming panawagan ng Justice for Killua, Golden Retriever na breed ang isa sa pinaka sweet na aso. Sana mabigyan ng hustisya si Killua. Sad to say after mag run ng test ang PAWS, they found out na may rabbies si Killua, though ang daming factor like 5 days na sya nakalibing, nadala sya sa place na katayan talaga ng mga aso. Anyway, hindi pa rin dahilan yun para pumatay ng tao, ang dami naman paraan. Nagsampa na rin ng demanda ang furparent ni Killua. 

Sana rin medyo higpitan ang batas dito sa Pilipinas about Animal Cruelty ang dami ng case na ganito pero hindi mabigyan ng hustisya ang kawawang mga pets natin. If you are a furparent, maiintindihan mo ito, ang mga pets natin, hindi namin sila tinuturing na pets, animal or whatsoever, part ng family ang turing namin sa kanila. 

We are all praying na makuha ni Killua ang justice na deserve nya.

It's Been Two Years

It's been almost two years since I last visited this blog, If I remember it right, I was so sick at that time and unfortunately until now, nararamdaman ko pa rin and mga sakit na iyan. Maybe it's because of my diabetes. By the way, welcome back to me. I will be blogging again here in blogger.com. I really miss this blog site.  I will share some snippet of my life, my travel, my random thoughts and different topics. I know I do not have a specific niche here in my blog, well, this blog is about everything that happened in my life. 

Realization hits Me

 I'm sick for almost two weeks, I'm not feeling well. I have type 1 Diabetis and I know that's the reason why. My heart beat fast and I got tired easily. I can't visit the doctor because I'm jobless right now and I do not have budget for the expensive laboratory test here in the Philippines. After a week, I cannot take it anymore and I ask my nephew to lend me money so that I can visit the doctor and do some lab test. As expected, my sugar is high and I need to take insulin again. 

I overthink as well, I'm worried too much on anything and got nervous for certain reasons. I also think that I experienced palpitation because of Covid Vaccines, OMG I think too much. I prayed a Rosary before going to sleep to remove stress, after 10 days, I'm getting better every day. 

This past few days, I realized that health is important. We need to save money as well so that we have budget in time of sickness. We need to be careful on what we eat, eat  healthy foods and avoid sweets. 

God always hear our prayers and he will help us if we have problem, just keep the faith! Do not lose hope and think positive always!

Typhoon Ulysses

 

Last November 11, 2020 typhoon Ulysses hit our country Philippines. Many provinces got affected by extreme flood especially Marikina, Rizal province and Cagayan province. I lived in Pasig, around 11:00pm, nag brown out na sa amin at nagsimula ng lumakas ang hangin at ulan. Hindi ako makatulog kasi rinig na rinig ko ang paghampas ng hangin sa bintana namin. Around 4am na ako nakatulog, hindi ko na kasi kaya ang antok ko. Nakatutok ako sa Facebook to get an update and sobrang grabe na ang pinsala ni Ulysses. Binabantayaan na ang Marikina and Pasig River dahil malapit ng umaapaw. Naalala ko tuloy ang bagyong Ondoy, malala din ang pagbaha noon at maraming bahay ang lumubog at maraming kababayan natin ang naapektuhan. 

Pag gising ko ang dami ng balita sa mga apektado ng bagyo at karamihan sa kanila ay humihingi ng tulong para mailikas sila, stranded na ang karamihan at nasa bubong na sila ng kanilang bahay. Nakakadurog ng puso dahil gusto natin tumulong pero wala naman tayo magawa. Pati ang mga animals especially ang mga dogs lubha din naapektuhan, ang iba nalunod kasi hindi sila napakawalan or hindi naalis ang mga tali nila. May buhay din ang mga aso at kung aalisin natin ang mga tali nila, may chance na maka survive sila.

Thank you sa mga volunteer natin, tinataya nila ang buhay nila para makapag ligtas ng ibang tao na nangangailangan ng tulong.

May mga ibang lugar na nagkaroon ng land slide at nagkabitak ang mga lupa, marami din daan na nasira at hindi muna passable sa mga motorista.

Grabe, nakakaawa ang mga naapektuhan ng pagbaha, lubog ang mga bahay nila, karamihan sa kanila, umakyat pa sa mga bubong dahil lubog ang mga first floor ng bahay nila. Ang dami din humihingi ng saklolo habang nasa bubong sila at basang basa ng  ulan.

May mga na rescue na, ang daming tao ang nagtulong tulong para sa mailigtas ang ating mga kababayan. Gumamit sila ng rubber boats, sa Cagayan, hindi na kaya ng rubber boats kaya airlift na ang ginawa para mailigtas ang mga tao. 

Sa Cagayan sobra ang pagbaha dahil nagpakawala ng Tubig ang Magat Dam, ngayon daw ang pinaka malaking baha sa kasaysayan ng Cagayan. Naiintindihan naman natin bakit nagpakawala ng tubig ang Magat, kapag hindi nagpakawala ng tubig at nasira ito, mas marami ang maapektuhan sa Cagayan.

Marami din foundation na nagra raise ng funds para makatulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo, if we have extra money or mga clothes na maayos at hindi na ginagamit, pwede natin i donate. Malaking tulong na rin iyon, though nasa crisis tayo, ang kaunting tulong kapag pinagsama sama, malaki na rin  matutulong nun.

I pag pray na rin natin ang mga kababayan natin na until now hindi pa rin nakaka recover.

Ryx Skincerity

I’m looking for a new skin care products, Rejuvenating products to be exact and I decided to try Ryx Skincerity, I heard so many good and bad reviews on this product but still I want to give it a try.

I contacted my seller and I think I want to sell this skin care too. I availed the Reseller Package amounting to Php 2,310 with 3 sets of Starter Kit Big size.

I have two pimples on my chin because of my monthly period. On Day 1 of using this products, no sting effect yet.

The Facial wash smells good and it’s foamy.

The toner smells like an alcohol and have a strong smells.

The Serum is smells good and it smells like candy too.

The sunblock is color white and smells like candy too

Day 2 is still okay, my pimples got dry but the pimple mark is very visible. Day 3 to 4 the micro peel is visible and the mahapdi feeling starts.

It’s my Day 5 today, when I used toner and serum, sobrang mahapdi and itchy, there’s a micro peel on my nose,chin and at the side of my mouth.

I still have 25 days and I will update you guys.

By the way, the starter kit cost Php 450.00, this is the smaller one and the big size is Php 940.00, it is pricey compare to other rejuv brand.

Singapore Trip 2020

Last January 16, 2020, I went to Singapore with my nephew. 3 day and 2 nights. Bitin ang 3 days, kasi  6pm na kami nakarating ng SG, first time ko sa SG, na amaze ako kasi 6pm na ang liwanag pa, sabi ng driver, 8pm raw didilim and late na rin sisikat ang araw. Nag check in kami sa Fragrance Hotel, budget friendly sya and in fairness, maganda sya. Sulit ang bayad.

Day 1

Ang flight namin is 3pm via Cebu Pacific, we arrived in SG around 6pm, sinundo kami ng Van then diretso na sa hotel. Nag bihis lang kami then diretso na sa Light Show by the Bay, 8pm sya medyo na late na kami kasi ang hirap sumakay ng Taxi, we need to buy sim card pa para makapag internet to book Grab.

After ng Light show, nag dinner kami sa Marina Bay Sands, nag gala din kami, ang sarap bumili kung may budget, around 11pm, tapos na kami mag stroll,  ayaw pa sana namin umuwi kaya lang wala na kami gagalaan. We decided to go home na lang, pahinga na sa hotel dahil maaga ang sundo namin kinabukasan.

Day 2

Sinundo kami ng service namin at exactly 9AM, proceed na kami sa Universal Studio, tagal din nag picture taking, we decided na bumili na ng ticket, sobrang haba ng mga pila, nagtiyaga pa rin kami. Pinaka the best ay ang Transformer The Ride, almost one hour kami pumila pero sobrang sulit. Nag roller coaster ang mga kasama ko pero ako hindi, hehehe. Mahiluhin kasi ako. Hinintay ko na lang sila. Kulang ang oras kung lahat ng rides sasakyan mo. Gusto din kasi namin mag Cable Car and need namin humabol. 

Round trip ang kinuha namin from Faber Peak to Siloso Point. I'm afraid of heights pero no choice ako haha. Takot kaya ako sa buong duration ng sakay namin sa Cable Car, sobrang ganda ng view promise. Gabi na ng bumaba kami, sa Gardens by the Bay naman kami nag dinner. Tambay ng kaunti, gusto namin pumunta sa Merlion, from Gardens by the Bay, ang layo ng nilakad namin as in, akala namin malapit lang, more than an hour din kami naglakad, tumambay pa kami sa bridge, picture taking to the max. After ng Merlion, as usual hirap na naman kami makakuha ng grab. Pagdating ng hotel, tulog na agad kasi maaga pa ang City Tour namin kinabukasan.

Day 3


Sobrang pagod namin sa Universal Studio Tour, late na kami nagising, 9am ang sundo namin, 8am kami nagising, mabilisang paligo and breakfast, hindi ko na natapos ang breakfast kasi irate na si kuya driver, lols.

Hinatid lang kami ng van sa pick up point ng Bus. Marami pala kami na sabay sabay for City Tour. Ang dami din namin pinuntahan and sobrang dami din namin natutuhan sa Tour Guide namin. Half day lang ang City Tour, dapat pupunta pa kami ng Orchard Road pero hindi na talaga kaya ng time. Nag lunch na lang kami sa McDo then sa Airport na lang kami nag ubos ng oras. Last day namin and super bitin talaga. Ang dami namin hindi napuntahan.

Dapat talaga 5 days para sulit talaga. 6pm ang flight namin going back to Manila. 

Sobrang saya ng SG Tour namin, babalik talaga ako ulit. Hopefully this year and kasama ko na ang kapatid ko and mga tita ko. 


Tour Package ang kinuha namin and super mura talaga. We booked mid 2019 and January ang tour namin. Suggestion ko lang don't book for 3 days sobrang bitin talaga. 5 days para lahat mapasyalan nyo. Also, don't convert din ang currency nila, at first, iniisip ko palagi ang conversion pero kapag ganun hindi mo ma eenjoy hehe. Need natin mag ipon para makain at mapuntahan natin ang ibat ibang pasyalan sa Singapore.

Ang nabili ko sa Duty Free Singapore, Victoria Secret na cologne, chocolates and binili ako ng pamangkin ko ng necklace, christmas gift. 

Globe Telecom - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Last March 26, 2020 nawalan kami ng Internet, I called Globe Customer Service using my Cphone, I dialled 211. Ang tagal bago masagot ang call ko, sobrang tagal ko naka hold. One of the Technical Team informed me na may System Migration daw, magiging part na daw kami ng Platinum. Nagpa transfer ako sa Platinum Department. Unfortunately, walang available agent. The agent promised me na I will receive a call before 6:00PM. Naghintay ako, 11:00PM na wala pa rin tumatawag. 

March 27, 2020, wala pa rin kami Internet, tumawag ulit ako sa Globe Customer Service, iba iba ang sinasabi nila. Sabi sa Platinum Department, may balance daw ako kasi due date ko ng March 26. Nairita ako, sabi ko March 27 pa lang disconnected na agad ang Service namin. Saka may Community Quarantine karamihan nag suspend ng bill. Okay to cut the story short, nagbayad ako using BDO online payment. I called them again, they promise me it would be reconnected 2 to 4 hours. Naghintay ako, 4pm na wala pa rin. I called them again, ang dami nilang sinasabi at hindi nagtutugma sa mga sinabi ng mga previous agents. Dito na nag init ang ulo ko. Work from home ako,  may hinahabol akong deadline, nagbayad na ako so bakit hindi pa rin mareconnect. Never ako na delay sa payment, ngayon lang March kasi hindi makalabas ng bahay at take note 1 day delay lang for God Sake.

Hindi daw sure kung mare reconnect ang daming sinabi, sinagad talaga ang pasensya ko. Nag request ako na makausap ang supervisor, TAKE NOTE... UMUWI na daw, sabi ko 6:08PM pa lang. nakaalis agad sya. May curfew daw kasi, sabi ko Supervisor or Senior Leader, iiwan ang agent nya na nag hahandle ng call??? napaka irresponsible naman. Si agent need na rin umuwi, ni walang nag assist sa kanya!!!!!

Wala rin ako napala, no choice eh, walang may access sa Platinum system. 

March 28, 2020

Around 10AM tumawag ako, yung itinawag ko ng dalawang araw, wala sa record. Walang record ng request for reconnection....FUCK talaga, nagsayang ako ng oras tapos walang ginawang report, sino ang matutuwa. Hold ako ng agent, iche check daw nya....one hour ako naka hold, gigil na gigil na ako...I used my other cphone and I called 211... at around 11:06AM ni release ang call ko, for God sake, One hour ako naghintay then ire release daw ang call ko.

Sa second cphone ko, may nakausap ako na agent, nagpa transfer ako sa Platinum Department. Wala daw record ng call ko, walang report na ginawa. Binigay ko ulit ang reference numnber ng payment ko. Another 24 hours na naman daw. 

Sobrang sinayang ng Globe ang oras ko, 3 days. walang nagawang paraan. Nagbayad na ako then wala pa rin assurance. FU Globe.


I asked them to pull out the recording para malaman nila ang case ko at para malaman nila kung gaano ka POOR ang Service nila. 

Ang bilis nyo mag disconnect ng account pero sa reconnection it will take 3 days. Ang galing mo po Globe. 

Karamihan ng company nag extend ng one month sa payment ng billing dahil sa Lock Out pero kayo advance kayo mag disconnect, katwiran nyo naka program, hindi magagawan ng paraan. Sarap nyong murahin.

Nasayang ang oras ko sa inyo!!!

Improve nyo ang service nyo and be CONSIDERATE, naka Community Quarantine tayo at alam nyong maraming naka Work From Home.

Ayusin nyo pagbi bill nyo and make sure din na i reconnect nyo agad. Ang bilis nyo mag cut ng line pero sobrang tagal nyo mag reconnect.

Covid19

It's been a long time since my last Blog. I decided to blog again because I don't have work for almost a week already. Our boss is afraid of the Corona Virus. He said, our health is more important than anything else.

Nasa bahay lang ako maghapon at walang magawa, I decided na mag blog ulit para naman maging productive ang aking araw habang walang work.

Talaga naman nakakatakot ang Covid 19, nag declare na ng Community Quarantine and nag panic buying na ang kapwa ko Pinoy. Ang haba ng pila sa mga grocery, nagkaubusan ng mga alcohol.

Ang daming lumalabas na balita and karamihan naman fake news, hindi mo na alam kung dapat ba paniwalaan or hindi. Dapat maniwala lang tayo sa reliable source at huwag basta basta maniniwala or mag share ng mga news na hindi naman natin alam kung totoo ang balita or hindi.

Para maiwasan natin ang virus, ugaliin maghugas ng kamay, mag alcohol at mag disinfect sa ating bahay.  Kung wala naman po tayong importanteng lakad, huwag na po tayo umalis ng bahay. 

We are praying na maging okay na ang lahat, malalagpasan natin lahat ng pagsubok na ito. Just keep on praying.

Baguio Trip 2019

I went to Baguio with my Kuya and his family. Actually sabit lang talaga ako, niyaya nila ako pero nagdalawang isip ako kasi wala pa ako salary that time. Pinilit nila ako sumama para daw makapag unwind ako. To cut the story short,  nag change off ako and sumama ako sa Baguio. 

12 midnight kami umalis kami ng Manila, medyo na traffic kami sa SLEX, dumating kami ng Baguio before 6pm, ang check in namin sa hotel namin 10:00am pa. 

Eksakto may dumaan na nagtitinda ng Strawberry Taho, medyo pricey pero gusto namin matikman so nag try kami. Masarap sya medyo matamis nga lang, kakaiba sa panglasa.

Nag check in kami sa Ibay Zion Hotel which is located beside Minesview Park, super affordable ang hotel, maganda ang accommodating ang mga Staff. Pumayag sila na pumasok kami sa room kahit 9am pa lang. Isang room lang kinuha namin, 2 Beds and extra matress kasi 5 kami. 1 day lang kami mag stay sa hotel, ang total ng binayaran namin almost Php 2,600 pesos, pwede na. May ref naman sya, sulit na, ang pangit lang walang signal ang cphone kasi nasa basement ang mga room nila.

We ate breakfast at Basipop Cafe, sa ibaba lang sya ng hotel namin, masarap ang food nila, highly recommended. Mura na and masarap sya, maganda pa ang ambiance. Ang price, sakto lang, very affordable.

My kuya, his partner and my nephew, ang daming tao sa Minesview Park, hindi kami makasingit para makapagpa picture ng maayos.

After namin maligo, naglibot na kami, hindi kami nag aksaya ng oras kasi 2 days lang kami mag stay sa Baguio, first stop, Burnham Park, nakakatuwa kasi daming nagzu Zumba, then Minesview Park, The Mansion, Wright Park, Botanical Garden and last stop Camp John Hay.

Bumalik kami sa hotel around 6:00pm na, super pagod na kami, naligo then rest na. Nag dinner kami sa Good Taste, heard kasi namin masarap doon at mura, so we decided na mag dinner doon. Naka Php 1200 kami, ang dami ng food, na take out pa namin ang iba. After dinner, nagpunta na kami sa night market, to be honest, na disappoint ako kasi hindi magaganda ang Ukay nila, dalawang blouse lang nabili ko. Hindi ko type mga paninda ng gabi na iyon. Bumalik kami sa hotel ng 12 midnight then sleep na. Super long and productive day naman.

We woke up around 9am na, na late kami ng gising sobrang pagod sa kakapasyal. 12 noon ang check out namin, so breakfast lang then ligo tas check out.  Pumunta na kami sa Strawberry Farm, Diplomat hotel and Grotto. Plano namin lumuwas ng Manila around 10pm para iwas traffic pero sobrang late na. Napagkasunduan namin na lumuwas ng 630pm. Chinese New Year that time, tumambay kami sa SM Baguio, doon kami nagpalipas ng oras. Bumili kami ng pasalubong tas uwi na. Dumating kami ng Manila, 12 midnight, sa SLEX na kami nag dinner.

Usapang Budget naman, may dala kasi kaming sasakyan, more or less 5K to 6K kasama na ang toll fee, gas sa paglibot sa Baguio.

Sa accommodation naman, sa 1 day namin pag stay sa Ibay Zion Hotel, Php 2600 good for 5 persons na. 

Sa food naman, sa buong stay namin, around Php1000 pwede na, group meals kami palagi kaya tipid.

Sa pasalubong, maraming mura pwede na ang budget na Php 500 to 1000 kung bibili ka ng Good Shepherd products.

Kung naghahanap kayo ng Budget Friendly na Hotel, highly recommended ko ang Ibay Zion Hotel, katabi lang sya ng Minesview Park.

I Am Sam Concert

I'm a big fan of our Youtube Idol Sam Mangubat. Dati, isa sa mga dreams namin na magkaroon sya ng Solo Concert and right now,yey, ito na..totoo na. First Solo Concert ni Sam sa September 15, 2018 na gaganapin sa Music Museum. 

Excited na mga angels, ang aga namin bumili ng ticket and isa sa mga goals namin ay ma sold out ang mga ticket. As of the moment, Sold out na ang Gold Section and ilan ticket na lang ang natitira sa VIP Center and VIP Left and Right. 

Medyo pricey ang ticket pero we know sulit and all out support kami sa lodi namin. Thank you sa lahat ng angels na walang sawa ang pag support kay Sam. Ang mga angels nasa abroad, all out support din. 

Ang mga guest ni Sam sa I Am Sam Concert ay sina Ms Yeng Constantino, Nyoy Volante, Bryan Chong and Marielle Montillano. Sa mga gusto po manood, you can buy your tickets sa SM Tickets or sa Music Museum mismo.

I'm so happy kasi nasubaybayan ko ang journey ni Sam simula noong sumali sya sa Tawag ng Tanghalan at ang layo na talaga ng narating nya.

Freelancer

Working in a private company for 20 years is very tiring. I think its about time to work on my own, with no boss, with time and financial freedom. I want to work at home and become a freelancer.

I thought it is easy, I just need a laptop, head set and a good quiet environment. I have no idea that it is not that easy. 

I checked my upwork account and it's still active, I searched and submitted application for a potential work but still no results. I need to familiarize myself on how upwork works. 

I'm determine to continue my 2018 goals and I will do my best to succeed.

Hiatus

I've been hiatus for a year, I've been busy with work and among other things. I really miss blogging so I decided to go back in Blogging.

This is a personal blog, so I write anything under the sun, which ever come to my mind. I hope all of you have time to read and visit my blog site. I will promise that each topic will be interesting and you will learn a lot from my blog.

Home Base Job

I really want to try home base job because I'm working for a private company for almost 20 years and yet I still don't have savings or any investments. Time pressure and stress is the reason why I want to try to work at home.

I need to buy laptop first and a good head set. Do you have any idea or can you give me any tips on how to start to work at the comfort of my home.

I'm still researching,reading blogs and study carefully the do's and don't for work at home. What are the advantage and disadvantages.

Welcome 2018 with a BANG

Happy New Year!!! I promise to myself that my 2018 will be another great year for me. I pray to God that I hope I will be permanent on my present job. I know it will happen in God's will. I will face 2018 with full of hope, happiness and LOVE.

I don't want a New Year's Resolution because some of them was not follow haha.

Come what may, Enjoy life to the fullest.

My November Mini Haul

We went to Ayala Mall 30th at Meralco Avenue and I bought Mumuso Aloe Vera Gel, Vanity Mirror and Hokkaido Milk Whipping Foam. 

Mumuso Aloe Vera Gel is very affordable and it cost me Php 99 only,  while the mirror is Php 149.

I went to Beauty Buffet as well and bought facial foam, I heard good feedbacks about this and I want to try if it will be good on my face. By the way, it cost Php 205 only.

Aloe Vera is so popular today and I got curious about it, well I will give it a try.

By the way,  I will post a review about this products next week. So wait for it.
