Facebook in our Everyday Life

Facebook or Social Networking Sites are very popular today. You are not “In” if you don’t have facebook account. By the way, what is Facebook, where it is originated and who is the founder of Facebook.

Well, Facebook is an online social networking service, whose name stems from the colloquial name for the book given to students at the start of the academic year by some university administrations in the United States to help students get to know each other. It was founded in February 2004 byMark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The website's membership was initially limited by the founders to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It gradually added support for students at various other universities before opening to high school students, and eventually to anyone aged 13 and over. Facebook now allows any users who declare themselves to be at least 13 years old to become registered users of the site.

I’m a Facebook user  too, I love Facebook to browse my Facebook to check my friend’s latest activities on Facebook. I play games on Facebook too like the very popular Candy Crush and Farmville. I even update  my status and upload photos as well.
People became very dependent on their FB they even  post a shout out regarding their personal lives which I found very disappointing.  Facebook is not a personal diary where other people can post their rants  and rave.
One thing that annoys me when someone had a bad experience or misunderstanding with their friends or family, they will post it on their Facebook  and I don’t know if they want to let the world knows it or what. I didn’t get their motives why they do that.
Of course I know that I have nothing to do with that, it’s their  Facebook anyway but Social Networking sites are not there to be our personal diary.  Personal and sensitive topics should not be brag on our Facebook.

Let use Facebook as to what the founder want it to be. I love Facebook and I hope this very popular networking sites remains forever to give us joy and to connect with our long lost classmates and friends.
